GALA YUZAWA

The Yuzawa areas is known throuout Japan as "Snow Country".
It is the onsen town where the Nobel Prize-winning novel of the same name was written and based. The famouse Japanese novelist Yasunari Kawabata wrote "Snow Country" whilst staying in Yuzawa. Gala Yuzawa, make the town the nearest and most convenient large scale quality ski resort area to Tokyo. Six millions of skiers come each year from early December to mid-May. The ski areas range in size from small beginners resorts to large mountain resorts with many lifts.
