The present Aso-san mountain sits in the midst of the largest volcanic
crater on earth, and is still fluming after 80million years of activity.

Kumamoto-jo Castle
Kumamoto-jo was once one of the great castles of feudal Japan. It
is set in such attractive surroundings of tall trees and stone walls
that is worth a look. Like many other Japanese castles, it looks
superb at night. |
