U-jo (Crow Castle) was built in 1597. It is black, in contrast with the white of the castle at Himeji (White Egret Castle).

Seto Oohashi

Seto Oohashi Bridge opened in 1988. It links Shikoku with Honshu has made the island much more accessible.
