Imperial Palace is the home of Japan's emperor and the imperial
family. Nijubashi bridge gives a good view into the Imperial Palace
Grounds. It is the most-photographed place in Japan.
Meiji - jingu Shrine
Meiji-Jingu Shrine is the finest Shinto shrine in Japan and well
worth a visit. It's a popular place for blessings for various events,
and you can often see such seremonies being performed by priests
in traditional Shinto costumes.
Meiji - jingu Shrine
The shrine itself was built with Japanese cypress, while the cypress
for the huge torii gates came from Alishan in Japan.
Senso - ji
The temple is very active with worshippers praying for assistance,
lighting bundles of incense and caching the smoke to rub on afflicted
parts of their bodies to relieve an ache or pain.
Kaminari - mon Gate
The gate's protector gods are: Fujin, the god of wind, on the
right; and Raijin, the fod of thunder, on the left.
